About
Wild Women; Whose land is it anyway? The first Wild Women event was in Aberfeldy at the Birks Cinema on the 16th of June 2018. We hope it was the first of many and are happy to promote and support your own Wild Women event, just let us know about it! It was a day spent exploring women's connection to the land past, present and future.
We included talks on history, healing, food, medicine, occupations, stravaiging (walking), education, bothies, landscape, literature and ownership
Speakers included Lesley Riddoch, Linda Cracknell, Mairi Stewart, Jacqui Calder, Claire Hewitt, Katrina Kennedy, Kate Ralston, Alison Hall, Alice McCrae and Dani Garavelli with sorbets (readings & songs) from Kate Langhorne and Anna Hepburn.

LITERATURE
“When the mist turns to rain there can be beauty there too. Like shifting mists, driving rain has a beauty of shape and movement. But there is a kind of rain without beauty, when air and ground are sodden, sullen black rain that invades body and soul alike.... Then the desolation of these empty stretches of land strikes at ones heart."
